Where have my posts gone? What’s going on?

It’s a new look for a new time for me.

I hadn’t updated the blog in years, and to be honest, I’d forgotten about it.

It’s time that I start using this blog in a different, more practical way.

I do far more writing these days in my life, mostly professionally, and I didn’t see this coming when I started my blog.

With that in mind, I’ve been thinking more and more about my writing. I actually enjoy writing, even though I don’t do much of it for pleasure. The idea of sitting and writing something as my mind billows forth a series of ideas that are splayed out across the brilliant white of paper or screen feels life-affirming.

Being able to justify using vocabulary like “harlot”, “beeves” and “ichor” is something I can do in personal writing, but something I can’t do in my professional setting. At the same time, I see arguments in the press poorly understood and argued in the world, and that has left me baffled and distraught at the direction of the world.

With that in mind, I’m going to be working on a few different projects.

I’ll be writing here with my thoughts on politics and how things are argued. I am sure that many will not agree with some of the things that I say, and that’s okay. All I ask is that you engage in the spirit that is intended – debate.

In the future, I’ll be creating a creative writing account – probably Wattpad – to start writing a story. I don’t know what it will be yet, but it will be… something.
